Just bought my first pistol - a Norinco Govt .45 Very happy.

I'm looking for the cheapest venue for ammo. The local store has Wolf, 50 rnds for $14 (SWC).
I see Marstar has 1000 Winchesters for $250 plus shipping.

What's the shipping cost like with Marstar?
I buy from CanadaAmmo - free shipping, so have no idea.

Anyone recommend any other good dealers, in Ontario preferably?

And yes I did check all the sites on the top right, finding nothing.

If you are willing to get into reloading you will be reloading superior quality complete metal jacketed rounds for just over $7 per box. Reloading pistol rounds is extremely easy on a Dillon machine and because of the US dollar's value right now there isn't a better time to get into it. If you want the cheapest sources of components PM me and I will give them to you. That would be $140 total (including GST/Shipping) for one thousand rounds of .45 ACP

I just took delivery of 3000 rounds of bullets (raw bullets for reloading).

This weighed over 60lbs total. Far more than 1000 loaded 45s wouild be.

Total shipping from one side of Ontario (Marstar) to me on the far side of Ontario from them was $25.

Which brings me to reloading as listed above. Mind you I use a cheapo Lee 1000 but I can pump out 300 rounds and hour.

Cost wise?

Bullet............ 0.10
Powder...........0.02
Primer........... 0.03

Total of 15 cents a round which is $7.50 a box.

My labor does not count as it is akin to Zen meditation.

Sounds like I'm getting into reloading!
Gonna do a lot of reading first. And I need brass of course... perhaps I'll go for the marstar deal.

I've been meaning to anyway - I shoot 7x57 Mausers, cheapest I've found those is $24 per box of 25... geesh..
