Hi, and thanks in advance for any help. I need to know the thickness of the rim on the currently available .45 Schofield brass. I've heard a rumor that it's thinner than .45LC and if so, could potentially chamber in my .455 Webley and be a much cheaper source of brass. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Starline 45 scofeild brass is Cheeper than 45 long colt starline brass from track the wolf but not by much and yes they ship up here no problem so they must have all the Permits ;)
I payed $18us for 100 x 45 colts
and $17us for 100x 45 scofeild brass

Case rims are both about .055 thick
but the Rim dia of the scofeilds is .520
the 45 colts Rims are .507 dia and dont extract as good as the scofeids.
Tho the 45 long colt can only be used in some British guns with longer cylinders like the WG or some Pryse Antique revolvers.

The 45 scofeilds cases fit once rims are trimed to 455 thicness = .035 in any 476 caliber revolvers not sure about 455 ones ya might have to trim there length abit.

I use em both in my British Antique revolvers BUT i thin the case to 455 thickness .035 by thinning the forward side of the case with my unimate mini lathe.
455 rim dia is the same as the scofeild cases at .520 dia

The starline scofeild brass is great in the old guns cause its solid head brass.:)
