I am just wondering if anyone has shot their .45-08 over chronograph and what condition the brass is in after firing.

Seems Gunnar's round has distinct advantage over the .45 Super and I am curious as to how/why?

.45 Super brass from Starline should be strong...is the cut and reamed .308 Win (.45-08) stronger and able to withstand more pressure?

Here is a Glock21 converted to shoot 45 Super.

I got some 45-08 to chrony at about 1450fps using 12g bullseye & 200g swc's. I doubt you will have pressure issues with the brass, likely the primers will flow before that. I found the only damage to the casings was upon ejection which is as you can imagine, very agressive!

Fun round to shoot, more controlable than you would think. I was a little concerened that it was putting excessive wear on my 1911 though, even with the stronger recoil spring & shock buff.

ALL I can say is WOW...you sold me.

I think I will get a Norinco to use though and beat it up rather than a $+1000 45.
