So,
There has been a lot of discussion of AR-15 platform Big bore cartridges with the ATRS Modern Sporter and Maccabee Defense SLR being a reality. I have decided I want to build a 458 Socom off of one of the receivers in the near future.
In doing my research I have read a lot about the other common-ish big bore AR barrels, like the 450 Bushmaster and 50 Beowulf. I still think the 458 Socom is my choice because of a soft spot for bottleneck cartridges. But regardless, it got the hamster wheel in my brain turning with curiosity. What about a pistol in one of those 3?
Well, the fingers got busy on the internet and something actually came across my plate. Sadly no 458 Socom, but Magnum Research makes revolvers (custom) in 450 Bushmaster and 50 Beowulf.
Am I crazy for wanting one, if not both, of those revolvers? I think it would be a eye-catching-wrist-snapping good time at the range.
So, to my fellow CGN's, what are your thoughts?
Only link I could find was to a PDF off of Google:
