Alrighty guys, I need some help in the "Where to get factory ammo?" department for both of these fine chamberings. No i don't re-load....yet.

I have a box of American eagle 45 LC and a few boxes of Casull rounds (Gold-dot and Federal Fusion) so i'm not is desperate need to get my hands on some before i can go hunting. I just want to find a reliable source for ammo at a good price.

I've found some at SFRC and i think i can order some from Prophet River (454) but if i want to shoot my rifle lots (and i really really do) i'm going to need to get a line on more ammo. Any help?

It all depends on where you are located. Wholesale Sports has a decent price on AE 45LC when they have it in stock, I think I paid $35 last time i bought some. The problem is that people don't shoot it in enough volume for dealers to stock large amounts of it and as a result it is often sold out.

I have never bought 454 Casull so can't help you there.

35$? :eek: I paid 61$ tax included for a box of 50 45lc the other day. F*ck me runnin'! The Casull rounds i have, i got a local gun shop. He had to literaly wipe the dust of the boxes before handing em over. It's a popular cartridge i guess. :rolleyes: Also, they were about 50$ for a box of 20$. Guess this gun isn't gonna get as much use as i thought. :redface:
 
Yep I just looked 37.99 plus tax is wholesale's current price on a box of 50 American Eagle 45LC. I know the winchester cowboy loads are generally more expensive but $61 seems like alot.

If you want to shoot a large volume of more expensive cartidges reloading seems to be the only way to make the cost reasonable.
