.454 Casull Puma

I picked one up last summer from Reliable Gun in Vancouver. They always have the 16" in stock. I have only shot it about four times with both 45 Colt and 454. I found the 454 brutal on my trigger hand from smashing into the actual lever on recoil. That makes it a bit intimidating getting bit everytime I shoot it. I notice mine shoots a little to the right and high as well. The action is still very chunky and could use some serious smoothing out. Maybe that will just happen on its own. Here's a pic I photoshopped.

It will definately smooth out once you start shooting it, took about 200 top loaded 454's for mine to smooth out as well as I sat and levered the action a multitude of times.

I've been talking with Legacy Sports International (the importers into the States for the Puma rifles) and they are telling me that they have been installing the XS Ghost Ring sights on a couple of these rifles and finding that they are working out great.

When I was at reliable last week Shane had the XS sights and the 16" rifle in stock so I popped the rear ghost ring sight on to see how the sight worked.

If you wanted to install the sight behind the lugs you would have to remove the safety or you could mount it just in front of the lugs and still retain the safety.

I would definately recommend the XS Sights on these rifles.
