I am still waiting to get back my 458 Lott but in eager anticipation, I require ammunition for said beast. Any shops have any in your area or does everybody reload ? I would MUCH prefer to buy factory if possible if I can find it. Also, any recommendations or experience with any factory 458 Lott loads on wild game ?

Out of curiosity, what exactly in Alberta requires such drastic measures?
Unless, the said quarry is not in Alberta.

Bought more of as a toy (as opposed to the other guns I buy which are highly practical in nature :D ). In all seriousness, I bought it as my previous "big bore" was a 375 and I wanted to try bigger. Might be useful if we ever head up to Alaska or down to Africa but in the meantime, it's for fun and the occassional moose/elk/coyote :D

I recently traded my Win Mod 70 458 Lott for a Brno 416 Rigby. I purchased one box of Factory ammo (I reload, but I like to have a box of factory for comparison) I purchased it from Wholesale sports in Calgary. Its not cheap, I've got 400 rounds of brass, dies and projectiles still waiting for when I find my next 458 Lott (Hopefully a Brno ZKK 602) Great caliber, just didn't like the model 70. P&D In Edmonton had some last time I was in as well.

yes made by hornady....very expensive tho but it seems you don't want to relaod:rolleyes:....

Unfortunately, I have to go to work, otherwise I would have no problem reloading for each of the dozens of guns that I own ;) This is one of the guns that I probably won't use much, no need to spend more money and time on dies and components, finding the right load, etc. Just not worth it to me.

I will try TSE and P-D-Ent. Thanks guys.

PS - if anyone has any experience with factory ammo, please post some review of it.
Thanks
