458 Lott owners

I just bought a Ruger No 1 and would like to get some input from Lott owners with first hand experience. I have a supply of 550 gr Crater casts and 420 gr Bullet Barn casts to play with. I am open to non cast suggestions too but intend on using these at some point. I am NOT going go Africa but still want to hear everyone's pet loads in mild, medium and hot. Thanks in advance.

in my ruger 77 magnum rifle, i found the 540 crators did not shoot good, my 450 saeco bullets are deadly with 70gr imr 4895 and the 405 saeco, both gas checked of course, with 72gr. imr 4895 shoot good also. you will be hard pressed to beat what its designed for, 500gr. hornady soft point round nose. 74gr. imr 4895 deadly accurate
