Have a 458 Winchester Magnum and looking to put on a scope of low power like a 1 - 4 or 5 power. I now have a Leopold and was thinking of upgrading to a Zeiss, Kaps or Schmidt Bender. Came across the first two at Wholesale Sports today but not sure about the reticle (post with a point). What do I plan on shooting. Well this is my backup gun for squirrels so ranges for these very dangerous creatures will run between 100 to point blank. The rifle is custom built so with it, I feel should be a fine set of optics. If the time ever came when fishing up north that a bear wanted to dispute his and my fishing grounds - I'd like to be damn sure the optics stood it's ground. This is probably where the heavy post would be better choice than cross hairs or so I believe. Your opinions are welcomed.
