I've enjoyed my Norinco 1911 for over a year now. No problems until lately, it's been jamming a lot on my handloads. I have a new box of factory ammo to try later this week, but the local gunsmith thinks it's less likely a problem with a gun than a problem with my reloads. I've been using Wolf 230 grain LRN with 4.6 grains of Bullseye, which has worked before. I have new and old magazines, the newest ones from a group buy here, good quality. Doesn't seem to make any difference. Often the first round or two fires OK, then it jams on the 3rd round, or subsequently. Sometimes I can push the slide back into place (it's out of position just slightly, enough not to allow the safety to be applied) but often I have to do the "three handed shuffle" to start things again.
It occurred to me that the Lee Carbide Factory Crimp Die might assist somehow if my brass is out of synch? Any ideas?
