I know some of you already know from the reloading board but I post it in here too... I was devolloping a load for my father to go moose hunting.. I was the first to be surprised when I put the 57.6 gr H4350 Load in it..
It jst gave a group of .469'' at 100 yard.. By the way it is my best group ever and not in my rifle..

Here is the complete load..

Winchester nickle Brass
57.6gr H4350
WLRM primers
168 gr. TSX

speed 2850 fps..

Good job Mobesto!
Nice grouping. It does wonders for the confidece!
My advice to you is to take that rifle out one or two more times (different days).
The resulting average of those groups will be your true load performance.

I have had many loads over the years group into .20" or less, and then average closer to .8 or1".

The reason I suggest this is to prove to yourself that this group wasnt a fluke.
It happens often enough to me.
I am able to shoot sub .25" groups regularily in perfect conditions and the right rifle.
But, I do have bad days as well. It kind of evens itself out in the end.

The best example of this (to me) happened two years ago.
I was shooting my 6mm Ackley Imp. At 1100yds.
I fired five rounds and went to check my target.
I expected a 5-10" group, but was absolutely stunned at a 1.1" group staring back at me!whoohooo!
The best I have done since that day, at that distance and that rifle/load is 3", and the average is closer to 6-8".
It still makes me smile though!

Good luck Mobesto, and have fun doing it!

Yeah slight wind and stars aligning scenario may have happened. My father did that once with his .303 It'll shoot 2.5" groups all day never really better.... he got one freak group of 3 rounds in 1 ragged hole.

His swaying/moving around seemed to have exactly counter-acted the lack of accuracy in the load perfectly.

I think this will be hard to beat but I have done several 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch groups with my tikka T3 but I was testing his rifle yesterday.. Maybe this is luck but ... I'm just a bit frustrated that It wasn't In my rifle That I took the time years ago to do barrel break-in and I'm always getting rid of every bit of fouling that can be in there... Thanks

I agree with Bolivar, let your gun get some rounds through it.
It just may improve.

Mobesto, 1/2-3/4" groups are just great!
They will accomplish everything you need to do!

Have fun shootin, and shoot straight!
