.480 Ruger

I would be inclined to use H-110 for full powered loads because it's a powder I have become very comfortable with in powerful revolver loads. Unique would work well for mid range loads. According to The Hornady manual (7th)Lil'gun is the top performer with their 400 gr bullet. Considering the capacity of the cartridge, a load of 7.0 grs of Unique should produce a pleasantly anemic load for paper punching with bullets of 400 grs or less.

Thanks Boomer. I was looking at Titegroup also. Need to locate some cast bullets to test too. A 400gr moving at 900-1000fps is quite plenty for most applications :)

Check out mould #356 and #357 from NEI Hand Tools, you can view their catalog online, just Google them. #356 is a .475 420 gr WFN and #357 is a .475 truncated cone. Both moulds are shown as plane base, but any of the moulds they list can be cut for a gas check. I don't know how available .475 gas checks will be though. PM Ben Hunchak for his thoughts concerning .475 cast bullets. If you don't want to cast your own Ben's the guy to talk to.

Just to bump this thread. Is there anyone that casts .475 pistol bullets in Canada? I bought a Lee mould, but at the moment don't have the room to start casting.
