I had an old Zabala 10g side by side that decided to fire both barrels at once on me one time (3-1/2" BB loads). I would imagine the recoil on a 4g would feel like that.

If you shot that off while sitting in a canoe, you'd better do it either facing forward or back, but not sideways. Furthermore, you'd probably have to put the gun down after firing and paddle back to where you were when you took the shot.

The guy in the second vid knows what he is doing because he built that 4 bore and I know him personally, the problem was that the gun doubled. Thats right both barrels with 1850grn conical bullets and 350grns of black powder. Even a 19lb gun recoils a bit with 3700grns of lead and 700grns of black powder leaving the bbls at once. The dude standing behind wasn't to bright any way.

He took a cape buff and some other large plains game with that monster he is very knowledgeable on double rifles. By the way I was wrong the gun actually weighs 22lbs. The shoot in the vid was moving targets and I believe there was only 1 guy crazy enough to shoot it with a 4 bore. I declined the offer to shoot that gun for some reason go figure.
