I picked up an old mossberg 352KB at the gunshow and it came with an old 4x20 Aim Master .22 scope, nitogen filled ,made in Japan.I was going to discard it in favour of a modern scope but before I did, I took it out and shot it-the scope appears to be OK-the adjustments work and the glass is clear, and since I'll just be using it for 25-50 yard plinking and maybe rabbit /grouse -I'm going to just leave it on as long as it works .
But-I'd like to find out more about these old .22 scopes-googling doesn't turn up much. Can anybody share some history?I presume they were a bottom end scope as mossberg was considered a utility gun.It looks very similar to an old .22 weaver scope I have
