Does anyone have one? Does it lock your pistol in?

I bought one and I can easily pull my p226 out of it. My gun fits in it but it doesn't retain it.

I'm just seeing if I should send it back or not.

Is it the proper model for your pistol? Have you checked to make sure it's adjusted properly? I have no experience with these holsters, but if I needed a retention holster (can't imagine why I would) and it didn't work, I would definitely send it back.

Yes it is a proper model.

I ended up finding that it doesn't fit the square trigger guard of the p226.

Anyone who shoots them self drawing there pistol deserves it "Darwin at work"

I have both the 5.11 and serpa and there both great :)

I picked up a Hogue Powerspeed concealment holster. Same retention design and release but it properly fits the P226 with the square trigger guard and the rail. $15 cheaper too ;)

It only came onto the market two months ago, but I thought I'd pick one up and use and abuse it for a couple months, give it a product reliability review. I will let you know how it holds up, but initial thoughts are great!

I have one for my M&P9 and love it. Prefer it over a serpa. Firearm is very secured hen locked in place. Would defiantly recommend it.

I was thinking about Safariland ALS but that's another option..

I've got a Safariland 6360 als with the sentry, level II retention for my XD9. In the U.S. that would be one retention level higher(III). I use it for CACP duty pistol competitions. I thought it would be slower than a serpa, but now I don't think that it's an issue. I really like it.

I normally ignore spelling and grammatical errors on the internet but finding "there" used twice in two sentences for two different words ("their" and "they're") was just too much to resist.

Please don't get upset, you are not the only one -- witness the use of "defiantly" in place of "definitely".

Oops, getting all anal, again. H:S:

Oh boy looks like I didn't bother doing a spell / grammar check. I better be careful or I will shoot myself in the leg using my thumb drive. lol
