Just fired off my newly acquired (from another CGNer) custom shop Model Seven "Custom KS" in 350RM at the range today. Using only iron sights I got pretty good 100 yd hunting accuracy using Hornady 250RNs. Here are my chrony readings of four shots in a row including the fouling shot using ReL15 - fairly consistent.

In the 1960s when Remington came out with the M600 in 350RM the ad copy I believe described it as "6 1/2 lbs of bolt action fury". The gun writers and most hunters #####ed about just that, though many northwestern guides liked it. Given the lesser weight of this little "KS" flinch inducer I think I'm entitled to borrow and change the phrase here refering to it as "5 3/4 lbs of bolt action fury". But I think I really like this one based on my initial range trip out with it. It fits me too which is important. I've been wanting one since the custom shop began making them in the late eighties. I consider this big game rifle all business.
Postal scale reading - iron sights, empty, no bases or rings as pictured above.
