Not sure if it's been asked on here but why is there no dealer offering 5.45x39, if we could get it close to what we pay for 7.62x39 I would buy a 5.45 conversion kit for my M4. I'm thinking it's not approved for import:mad:

Years ago, Century Arms (When they were in Kanada) had some for sale, made by RWS for their East German bolt action sniper rifles of that caliber.

i seem to recall somewhere that the bullets where oversized in that RWS ammo.

Most everyone seems to think so for some reason.

And they'd be wrong. Note: Diagrams not to scale. Read the dimensions for actual comparison.

I think there was a 5.6 round made from necked down 7.62x39, it was may be still is used for deer and fox hunting in Eastern Europe. From what I heard it just eat the gun barrels

And that was the base for 6mm BR right? I wonder how accurate the .220 Russian was...Does anyone even make a barrel for that here?

No, it was the parent case for the 6mm PPC, which is probably the most inherently accurate round ever.

It's great for shooting in a target/BR rifle and apparently it comes close to the .243 Win for hunting too.
