I'm planning on buying some 10 round 5.56 magazines from Questar but unfortunately they are out of stock of the Tactipul mag pulls.

After doing some searching it sounds like the rubber Magpul mag pulls won't work on the shorter 10 rounders. Wolverine has some Magpul Ranger Floor Plates in stock but they are $24 for a pack of three.

Would you wait for Questar to get more of the Tactipuls or pay extra for the Ranger floor plates? Are there other options I should look at?

I like the Rangers mainly because I use them on my 5/30s, that and I just don't like the looks of the tactipuls.

However, IIRC the Ranger plates lower the capacity down to 9 rounds.

The Ranger floorplates require you to file off approx. 1/8" off the legs of the follower. Easy, quick work with a file or sandpaper sheet. I simply removed the follower and ran it back and forth evenly across a 260 grit sandpaper sheet sitting flat on my work bench. Took a few minutes for each one and I was good to go...

I prefer the Ranger floor plates to the Tactipuls so this minor work was worth it for me...

well after reading this thread I said screw it and installed some ranger magpuls on my lar15 mags.

as stated above, had to shave 1/8th inch off of the follower but after that they fit perfectly and loaded 10 round no problem....

Yeah, I ordered a couple packs from Wolverine today too.
