Just acquired a Norinco AK in 5.56. It is converted auto so probably will take a year or two before I finally see it. I need mags for it I know the originals are cost prohibited but I hear that promag makes one that fits. Would you be able to acquire these mags and import into Canada

Possibly look at any US source and use IRG to import any mag.

Check out PSA, Robert RTG or even APEX for 556 mags

Stay away from promag if possible

If we stock them you can purchase right off the site. We do not deal with Norinco so I am not able to help you source or retro a mag as I wouldn't want to give you the wrong information.

Yeah I have done some research and it seems for some reason AK 5.56 mags are not interchangeable amongst all the different AK brands. I have seen a video which shows the promag ones do work in a Norinco

Yeah I dont see the promag ak 5.56 mags on your site in the usa or canada so was wondering if you could get the usa store to add them to their inventory if they were ordering promags for other rifles

Ya, Komodo is correct. There are differences amongst. 223/556 AKs. I have a bunch of them and they all don't interchange. Some have a narrower mag well than others, also the mag release is set farther back on some. Big PITA.

Bakelite AK74 mags fit in my Norinco Type 84S (.223).

I'm assuming the feed lips would need modification, not to mention the one I have is neutered without a bolt so I can't test that theory for you.

It took quite a while for me to find a steel 84S mag here in Canada.

I go to florida every year i guess i can just by some and foward to irunguns for pinning and import. I guess i better get to it before the libs ban pinned mags
