5.56 AK Style Mags That Won't Fit In Noranco AKM

I found some mags that I converted to 5/30 round years ago, tried them in my 223 AKM and they are too fat.
I don't have a 5.56 Galil, or Valmat 78 so I can't try them in either guns. I really miss the 78 it was a blast to shoot.
Can someone give the dimensions (Width) of Galil and Valmat mags.

FWIW there is no "standard" .223 AK mag. Every manufacturer did something a little different.

Sounds like you have Polytech mags and a Norinco receiver.

^^^^^^^^ A likely scenario.
Norinco and Polytech .223 AK mags were often inadvertently mixed together as "Chinese .223 mags" at the retail level, especially after C68. Could be anything though.

They are Chinese and made with thicker dimensions.
One says Chinese made and are marked 5.56 and the usual US import marks.

Pics would be a lot more helpful but I can almost guarantee they're Polytech mags.

I wish I could find mags for QBU-88.
It's a .223 gun, but I have no idea what or where the mags are.
