Heya, so I put on a CSA AR magwell adapter on the 5.56 VZ and it runs well... kinda. I was able to run my metal ASC 10/30 mags but when I load 10 rounds into the pistol mags, the top round gets squished and I can't load more than 9. Did I install it incorrectly, and has anyone else ever had this issue? It'd be nice to run a full 10, so if anyone's had this issue and then had a fix, I'd love to hear it. I can load 9 in an ASC mag and a full five in 5/30 mags, both Pmag and GI metal mags. Did not have any issues with FTFs using Federal .223 55g and Federal 5.56mm in 55g XM183 or 72g XM855. Happy about that!
Also, the last round bolt hold open does not work for either style mags. Is anyone familiar with mag mods that would allow LRBHO? I've seen references to people having that but I've not been able to find the method anywhere (my googling skills need work).
I've also heard of people modding Pmags to freely drop and have LRBHO, but not sure where and what to trim. I'm not super familiar with doing a lot of custom work on guns yet but willing to learn and try!
I'd be happy to run the stock VZ mags, to be honest, but the issue is that I want the ability to run pistol mags for that most obvious reason of 10 rounds (and I have a million AR mags). This is basically the reason I bought one in 5.56 as opposed to 7.62. I wanna have access to the same calibre and the same mags.
