The only thing to suffer would more than likely be accuracy do to the average twist in a 22-250. Then again if you're shooting trace who cares about accuracy...
Dunno why they bothered with sights on the C9... So much more fun to make the dotted line sweep the target. Since my unit only had a couple C9s, I only got to play with them a couple times, but just LOVED tracers.

Seriously, tracer bullets do not follow the trajectory of ball rounds all that well. Their shape is totally different and the centre of gravity keeps changing as the fill compound burns. They're just a rough aiming guide.
The trace bullet is very long. I doubt there is any chance it would stabalize at 1;12 or 1:14. No harm in trying, though. A tumbling bullet might make an interesting trace.
