5.56 VZ58, stanag magazine adapter question?

Not all mags fit but the one that does are very reliable. I've tried MFT (didn't work at all.) and the LAR 10rd mag from bulleyes London and those work good.
 
Old thread, but I'll add my experience for the ages...

Mine has a mag adapter, and it installs as if it were an AK magazine (nose in, rock to lock). It came with an Amend2 plastic pistol mag. My first range trip out with it was great! 50 rounds, zero malfunctions.
 
I don't know about recent versions. When I bought mine 6-7 years ago, they were marketed as metal mags only. The follower on plastic mags tended to hit the bolt stop prematurely. I machined a replacement bolt stop and it worked with every mag I tried.
 
I've had no issue with mine when using aluminum 30 round stanag magazines. I could not get it to work with pmags, 10 or 20 round aluminum mags; they would not engage the latch.
