Does anyone out there know anything about this round ? The box is RWS ... the loaded bullet is a 50 grain soft point ... and it also says on the box in the corner ...' T Mantel' ... the local gunshop guy asked me if I could find any kind of info ... Thanks !:confused: :)
 
The local gunshop guy must be pretty young, this one has been around since the 1970s. :D

It is about like a .222 Remington Magnum case, only about a tenth of an inch longer.

T-Mantel means soft point.Mostly used in Germany and Austria as a Varmint/Roebuck cardridge.There is also a rimmed version available(5,6x50R)for breakopen guns.-Rainer
