Boomer -thanx! I just finished reading. Ballistic info in that article is kind of strange though. Velocities are way too slow for such light bullets and case capacity. I am comparing it to Tokarev with 85grain bullets reaching 1900fps in pistol barrel length and with about 15% smaller case. I was acutally thinking about 5.7x28 as possible varminter chambering for my another Beretta Storm conversion but now after reading this I don't know. I expected velocities of 5.7x28 reaching 3000fps somewhere.
I was thinking about possible chambering in such cartridge that it will fit in Beretta's pistol grip and that will have decent case capacity, strong brass and light projectile. Projectile while being light must also be somewhat ballistically efficient. 9mm Luger for example topped with 90grain bullet is not what I want (I tried).

It wouldn't take much to top the 25mm case with a spitzer bullet. However the OAL of the round would change and any pistol or rifle magazine well, magazine and chamber would also need to change.
