5 round AICS .223 mag.

Same here, would be looking for one in .223 as well. Don't understand how companies can release 5 rounders for .308 / 6.5cm, and various larger calibers, but the .223 gets no love. I'd be looking for a Tikka T3x TAC A1 / CTR one in 5 rounds as well, and pray it will not be $200.00+ like the current 10 rounders are.
If and when these magazine restrictions come into play, I'll see what iRunguns can do for importing anything. I gotta believe with the restrictions in California, that there has got to be some 5 rounder AICS in .223 available from someone...

It's not going to happen, they are interested in pinned mags for the SKS and others semi auto's. Logistics would be impossible not to mention that it would be flat out ignored by most. Pinned mags some how made to 5 rounds permanent. Probably will come up with some government approved conversion fix. A Conservative government with the right leader will likely roll back much of what the Turd and company have done, as well as a complete rewrite on everything. The rumour is the turd wants to quit, hence this legacy gun control BS and other whack-job progressive measures we are seeing now.

I wouldn't put to much hope in Sock boy stepping down. With his lapdog Jagsy Meat, he is in a position of strength and has a nasty agenda. Witness them ramming through bill C11 without debate. They will be censoring us very soon.

Thanks for the tip. I actually contacted the guy last week and he told me he did not have any 5-rounders for the TAC A1 / CTR in .223, but the closest were 8 rounders - got an email to this effect. I'll have to visit the site again to see if maybe things have changed.

Good. You'd better make a grand thread about your 5 round cap mags when they come in. Everyone who runs bolt guns in 223 and 308 that use mdt or aics pattern mags are going to need at least one if they want to look compliant at the range.
I called MDT and they said currently they don't have plans to manufacturer AICS 5 rounders but if/when the government makes a 5-rounder mandatory, they will look into producing those. As I understand it, there wouldn't be a market for it currently unless the government imposes those changes.
I told them I hope they also will consider doing a mag that fits the Tikka T3X TAC A1 or CTR...many of us are getting hosed for $200+ tax for those OEM Tikka ones with no alternative.

MDT is a Canadian company and certainly well aware of this problem.
I would be surprised if they don't develop a wide range of solutions as over time if this stupid new law goes into effect. They would not have had time to do it yet, considering the tooling design and modifications that would need to be made.
Yes, I have their 10 round polymer mags, I would like to see them introduce a 5 round polymer when/if the Fuhrer decides on the ban.
