I have found a fellow gunnuter willing to put together a 50-90 Sharps straight rifle for me .But finding a set of reloading dies has proven to be a stumbling block. Does anyone have or know someone who may have a set for sale.
Hey Big Knife...sounds like an awesome project and am looking forward to seeing the end product. I have a couple sets of 50-70 dies that i could borrow you one if that will help a bit...wont be able to full length resize but might suffice for the case mouth sizing & bullet seating.
I have a hand full of 50-90 brass but still have a 50-90 barrel for a RB so might still use them LOL
When I cut the chamber for one of my 38-56's I also cut a couple of sizing dies with the same reamer and they work ok so you might get your gun builder to cut a couple die blanks at the same time as he chambers the gun. I used just mild steel for mine as it threaded much easier than a alloy material but have since found out that gr 8 bolts drill & cut quite easily so should/could have used ordinary 7/8-14 fine threaded ready rod.
