I have never done ANY reloading but $$$ has forced me to reconsider especially with the 50. WHERE DO I START????
What size/make press?
Scale?
Dies?
Brass new/used how many times fired?
Bullets pulled? new/price?
powder what kind?
primers?
Not looking to do any competition stuff just cheaper plinking (HA HA I know)
ANY thoughts help experience views would be appreciated I want to set up as reasonable as possible what should a person be paying for used/new components.
I will post and watch on the EE once I have my Christmas list completed.
THANKS in advance, Pete....

The LEE Classic Cast with the BMG kit is great. Absolutley certain many who bought other presses wished they would have bought the LEE. LEE #90859
Pretty much any scale but the LEE.
Digital calipers from crappy tire.
LEE has a large cutter 90401 and case length gauge 90010 for the 50.
RCBS deburring tool 9348

US869 powder is value priced

Good luck with the other components.

50 loading

Got the RCBS Ammo master 50BMG kit.
Press dies everything in it.
Using cleaned up Surplus brass, pulled bullets (making my own solids now)
H50BMG powder , quite accurate but very sharp recoil.
H5010 was working fantastic but has been discontinued for a bit now and is hard to find (was quite cheap)
US869 according to Hodgdon's(spoke to them today) is supposed to be THEE powder for 1000 yd matches. Shot some sunday, very managable recoil but high load numbers (# of grains)
Tried Accurate 8700, very easy to shoot but found it shot very low and had to bring up scope quite a bit.
