looking to see what everyone uses for a conical all lead bullet for a muzzleloader.

I used to shoot a conical Thompson Center style maxi hunter in a knight

Precision Rifle Company Keith Nose Hollow point in a .54

Not a lot of people use conicals most like a sabot /bullet combo drop two pellets of triple 777 and go

I am old school I like to perfect my loads weather it is loose 777 powder in 3fg or the traditional Black powder

who else makes up a speed loader for hunting with their fav load... and what is it.??

The385gr Hornady great plains bullets work very well, loaded with a .54 felt patch they're very accurate
The only disadvantage is a pain to load since they're slightly overbore (i measued them at .510")

For fun at the range, nothing can beat patched round balls

Do you mean a pocket full of plastic test-tubes with premeasured black powder charges? ;)

Does anyone know where I can locate Hornandy Great Plains .50 cal 385 gr HPHB conicals in this day and age?

My stockpile has depleted and I am experiencing challenges trying to locate a retailer in western Canada. My gun groups them well and I’ve always been satisfied with their terminal performance.

Depends what's your twist rate? I have had no luck with the lee R.E.A.L in my pedersoli scout with a 1-32 twist rate. But it works great in a 1-48 twist
