500 grain Barnes in a 45-90

Have a Shiloh Sharps and a hand full of Barnes 500gr TSX left over from my 458 Win Mag.
Anyone use jacketed through a Sharps with velocities around 1400 fps?

I've always been a bit hesitant to put jacketed bullets through my Shiloh, I guess because I remember reading somewhere that their deep - cut rifling was meant for cast lead bullets rather than jacketed.... maybe you could put that question on the Shiloh forum board and see what you get for a response..

Shot them they will be fine. Here is my second Shiloh

SWEET ! I have a used Sporter #3 with a midrange MVA. Will have to try some loads with the Barnes and see how my 480 gr cast compare.
