I was looking for an NEF HandiRifle in 500s&w magnum. Well, I found the gun, and have one on order. I have found brass ($$$). I found some 'rifle load' data (this looks easily capable of pushing 3200 ft-lbs in a 22" barrel :D )

Just looking for bullets. Everyone seems to top out at .458 bullets. Does anyone know if muzzle loader projectiles will work? I'd prefer jacketed bullets, as MV will be in the 2000-2200 fps neighborhood.

Do you load for the 500? Where do you locate components?

A friend of mine has a 500 S&W and he has been getting his bullets from Smoking gun FX in Burnaby. The one's he's been buying are Sierra 350 gr JHP, I don't know if they have any other weights or any other in stock - he just ordered another 500 of them I think.  I think he has used Higinson's for a source for brass.

Stop in @ P&d Enterprizes, in Edmonton. The last time I was there they had Hornady brass, bullets & dies. I picked up some 350gr XTP/MAG and 500gr JFP Hornady bullets. For cast bullets, 350gr PB, 370gr PB & 440gr GC, I deal through a guy in Duncan. Starline brass is probably a better deal as it takes large rifle primers and with heavy loads of H 110, you need that. I contacted Hornady and apparently all their new brass will be made for large rifle primers as well.:)

I was at P&D yesterday - they had brass, but no bullets :(

I am thinking of using some cast bullets - I ordered a 350gr mould, but I definitely want a few jacketed ones.

This guy in Duncan - does he have a shop, a website or anything?

I haven't tried out the 500gr Hornady's yet, but soon!! Some350gr hornady's & 350gr Sierra's both worked well. I also want to get some of the Sierra 400gr. bullets.

No, the guy in Duncan doesn't have a separate shop per say, but works out of his basement. I'll send you an e-mail with contact details.
