Looking for volunteers to test a new cast bullet prior to marketing....anyone interested in testing and reporting please p.m. me, there is no cost involved, no strings, just an honest appraisal, the bullet is a 380gr. SWC with plain base, it is probably best for moderate loads, and is expected to be quite affordable and should help bring the price of .500 ammo down. We don't have a handgun to test this bullet, but we were able to test for penetration and expansion, so far so good!
 
Someone told me that Thompson Centre made a barrel in this for their Encore? Don't know...but wouldn't a Marlin '94 lever gun be nice in this!!!
 
NEF makes an inexpensive single shot rifle chambered in .500 S&W. Prosper was trying to order one in last year, but I don't know if he was successful or not.
 
I Could Be Talked Into A Try Of Your Bullets--what Is The Bn And What Would You Like To See In The Velo Dept.my 440gc Will Do 1450 To 1600 Fps And The Lighter Loads Will Do 800fps From My 8 3/8 Barrel.

There are three of us locally with 8 3/8" 500 S&W's. There are three cast bullets I use, one of which sounds 'similar' to one you are using, the 440gr GC. A load on the lighter side that has proven to be very accurate is 14grs of Unique, CCI 350 primer with the hard csat 440gr LMNGC. I'm not sure what the bn is but they are 'hard'. The other cast bullets I use are a 350gr RNFPPB and a 370gr LMNBB.
 
I have enough vols. ....thanks to all who responded, if this works out, I will do this with other new items that come-up, meanwhile any users of current Chamber's bullets are welcome to give feedback any time, good or bad!
