:canadaFlag:Hi everybody....I bought a 500 s & w last year and I would like to know where I can get ammunition and reloading stuff (brass, bullet, data) cheapest as possible:shotgun: thanks a lot and sorry for my english

:sniper:

Dies, brass, some bullets and I believe some loaded ammo is available at P&d in Edmonton. That's where I usually stock up on most on my components. I get my cast bullet supplies from a local guy that also had a 500 S&W.

x2 on the lowermainland idea!
How about the bullet barn .50 lead bullet? Would this work? Or is using the lead bullet a bad idea?

Thanks Merc,
But I'm not sure I want to go into production just yet!! Just looking for a decent deal on some factory loads. Too bad we can't get that bulk deal from Cabela's $249.00 for 200 rounds sounds great!!!!

For bullets go to mountainmolds.com and design your own 500 S&W bullet mould and start casting, that's what I did. I now have 400, 440 and 500 gr moulds for my 500 S&W, I have been thinking about a 600 gr mould but I think it might be a bit excessive.

Don't know about B.C., but 50 pcs of Hornady brass, for example, runs $37.95, plus shipping, here in Ontario. Hornady .50 cal XTP-MAG bullets run $44.95 per 50. $58.95 for the dies. $9ish for the shell holder.
There's lots of load data on Hodgdon's site. No W's.

"...am I asking in the wrong section?..." Nope, you're just getting info that's easily found on-line. You did mention wanting to reload too. The .50 S&W is an expensive thing to shoot and not readily available. Getting on the phone will get you more accurate local info.
Your local gun shop can order ammo if his supplier has it in stock. Be prepared to pay up front though.
