The 4" barreled version is 102mm so that is a prohibited gun in Canada?

Anyone in the Vancouver area know of a store that might have them in stock in 4" or 8"? I tried looking in a lot of the popular stores online but none have it listed.

it just looks so long. i wish the 6" version had the bottom part of the barrel extend to the end like it does with the 8 and 3/8 and the 4" versions.

I like the look of the half underlug better then the full underlug. its all personal preference.

and yes a 4 inch is prohibited
 
The x-frame is so big the 8 3/8" barrel does not look long at all.

I bought the 5" 460S&W and it actually looks shorter than that, again because the x-frame is so big.

Shooter's choice in Alberta (not Ontario) has the 500 & 460 S&W in stock in various barrel lenghts.
 
I had no intention of getting a 500, until I tried the one my buddy acquired at a local gun show a couple of years back. After seeing first hand how well it performed, I decided I 'needed' one:p. No regrets. It's a 'handful' but it does deliver, with jacketed and/or cast loads.

Recently, my shooting buddy has put his 8 3/8" S&W up for sale as he's into one in a TC single shot. Mine, is a keeper.

The 6" version with the half lug is usually in stock at Italian Sporting Goods...

The 8 3/8" version with the full under lug is in stock at Wholesale Sports...

I special ordered my 8 3/8" barrel 500 from Wanstalls because I wanted the interchangeable muzzle breaks and fiber optic front sight.
