mikeyb I never heard of Tangent Theta scopes before and just googled and contacted them for more info as I like to support our CDN companies.

They were called a different name before, Tangent Theta is relatively new

Tried the Near on my TRG and sold it/swapped back the the factory 3 ring optilock. Use the SPUHR on a more recent rifle and prefer it over the other two.

yes it is not permanent but no it is not quick release if that is what you mean.

I am not sure if anyone will make a quick release and guarantee it on a 50 bmg

Necro-post revival, but I do have insight to add....

Tangent Theta is local to me here in Halifax, and I've know the owner for over 2 decades, he's a long-time marksman, and he gave me a tour of their shop location a few months back.

I'd go with the Tangent Theta scope if you can afford it. I'd love one.

I'd love a tangent theta but they're close to $4k & the wait is just too darn long & unknown. Also was looking at the Lt107 mount as its removeable and has three contact levers. I haven't shot any animals to date with the 50bmg & irons but will do so soon & will definitely post pics. Cheers

Purchased a LT107 mount from a fellow CGNer that has 3 contact areas but is removeable. I look forward to mounting a scope & shooting this out to longer distances.
