I still have a ton to learn, but I’m really happy with these groups.

All shots taken with my Tikka T2x 20” in .22LR. All shot from bench at 50M with Harris Bipod and rear bag. Using Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24x50.

Can’t find a fault with this little monster. Loves CCI SV. Tried a few rounds of SK Rifle Match - they were great, but twice the price for no noticeable difference. Each CCI SV and SK Rifle shoot a 7/16” group :)

Any tips or suggestions welcome!

Looks like you're getting some great results, not much else to say. If you had more trigger time under your belt, I might be inclined to suggest you try a huge array of ammo types to really dial things in (meaning, there may be other ammos that shoot even better) but for now, I'd say practice practice practice.

I've also found that trying to get great groups using a bipod (for me) has been frustrating. I used to use a metal front rest/v-shaped heavy leather bag in the rear. Now I use a heavy bag in the front, and a squeeze bag in the rear. You're getting good results as is so I'm reluctant to say you should be doing something different...but...my experience with your method hasn't been great. Certainly not as great as what you're getting! :)

Great start... over the next couple of sessions track how the rifle groups again. Measure biggest, smallest and average of the groups... see a pattern as you gain experience and get more comfy behind the rifle.

The goal is for consistency without any zingers. The biggest and smallest groups should be within a tenth of an inch of your average. now you are shooting consistently with repeatable pressure applied by shoulder, cheek, grip and finger.

At this distance and with much more practise, the biggest, smallest and average should be all the same. Any zinger can then be considered an ammo or rifle or optic issue. Then the hunt for "better" begins

But for now, have a ton of fun... learn, practise, try different ammo and positions. If the zinger keep occuring, consider bedding the action properly and or a change in ammo type (having a better shooter shoot to confirm the zingers are indeed flyers not shooter error)

have fun...
