I tried posting this in Milsurp thinking it was the best fit, no action though, maybe it was better here.

I have some older Dominion 38 S&W, most of it looks to be 1950-60ish with 146gr lead RN, but I also have some of what looks to be 38/200. I know 38 S&W is getting difficult to purchase, but still available, I'd hate to shoot off some rare/expensive ammo out of ignorance.

Save it, I have a few of the 38sw in the small wooden military boxes with rope handles. I think they are
100 /200 rounds per green box

Thanks gents.

I'm not collecting anything these days. It would be between collecting, and shooting, and the only thing I like more than fondling my Firearms in the comfort of my house is shooting them.

Does anyone have an idea of the approx. value of the boxes and ammo. One cartridge weighs 248gr, the other 209gr, so it looks like the 40 with the heavy projectile is about 175gr. Below is the Head stamps. Left is the heavy, middle is from the older box, right is from the newer box which is full at 50.

Ive had/got lots of those...bullets are worth about the same as buying new.

Packaging totally depends on who is looking.

Probably sell box for around $10 if you want it sold this year.
