525 rds flawless in Marlin 60

Today I had my Marlin 60 out and put a bulk pack of 525rds Federal through it. Not a single miss feed or miss fire. I though pretty good

The federal 525 is decent stuff and I think most on here will agree with that. Love my marlin 60 too. She's a sweet shooter!

I have had 3 ( all tube fed). My favorite .22 semi. I think I have had 4 bad rounds not go off in 5k+ rounds. All dud rounds that any brand occasionally have.

I'm gonna not clean it until starts to malfunction sort of a test

I should try it in my Marlin 70 HC, Because I know my Ruger 22/45 doesn't like it.

Hope your a young guy , I had a nylon 66 for 20+ years before I had to do a Google search to find out how to take it apart
The one and only time it was apart - many thousands of rounds ( I live in gopher country )

Remove rifle from stock. Hold over sink, spray with brake clean. Wipe what you can and than oil it.

I think that's how people cleaned lakefield/savage 64's. Because you had to remove the barrel to take the bolt out. Just cleaned what they could reach w/o taking it apart.

Same thing with my nylon 66 , it was the bbl clip I had to find on google , I had assumed the bbl was fixed , and I did clean it the same like I said 20+ years
