It is that time of year again. The 53rd Capital of Canada Skeet Championships run this weekend in Ottawa at the Connaught ranges.

Doubles go on Friday
12ga and 28ga on Saturday
20ga and .410 on Sunday

Stop in and see some of the top skeet shooters in Canada if you are in the neighborhood.

Brad.

Doubles went off without a hitch today.

Unoffical results look like Marc-Andre Jodoin will be Champ with the lone 100x100 and Max Lemay will be runner up with a 98x100.

More results to come.

Saturday brought half a day of sunshine (half a day more than last year) and half a day of rain.

Marc-Andre Jodoin continued to have a hot gun, winning the 12ga in a shootoff of 100's with Steve Loveday.

In the 28ga Leo Laplant outlasted Andy Spooner in a shootoff to emerge as Champ.

Jodoin is leading the HOA race leading into the Sunday guns.

Warm and sunshine greeted shooters Sunday morning for the 20 gauge.

The good conditions resulted in 5 100x100 scores.

Mike Hogan, Marc-Andre Jodoin, Max Lemay, Brad McRae and Steve Loveday shoot off for the championship.

Local shooter Mike Hogan emerged as champ while Marc-Andre Jodoin was runner-up.

The most amazing story came in the .410 bore. 14 year old shooter Nick Cianciosi had his first ever 100x100 (his first in ANY gauge) to claim the championship outright, and also take home $500 for winning the event with a perfect score. John Kapron finished as runner up with a 99x100.

In the High Overall race, Marc-Andre Jodoin added another Capital of Canada Championship title to his resume with a 395x400. Max Lemay finished as Runner-up with a 393x400.
