.54 caplock

I was out sighting in my .54 cal Deerstalker today. I am happy with the groups I am getting with a patched 530 roundball. The question I guess i am asking is Does the .54 cal PRB have enough Energy at 80 yards to be effective on Whitetail deer. I am shooting 80 gr of 2F. See photos for my grouping

I am shooting a Lyman Trade rifle with a .535 round ball and 80g of 3f. Two does fell this year to that load, and no ball was recovered. I used to shoot a .50 Deerstalker and at least 30 whitetails fell to a round ball from that rifle, pushed by 80g of Pyrodex RS.
