This is for all you fellow Dillon 550 owners. Have any of you had a chane to see or purchase or use the new case feeder for the 550? I have not used it, but I have seen one and it seems quite expensive to me considering you need 2 if you load large and small cases.

Steve you only need one. You change a part in the feeder to change calibers. There is a video floating around this site that shows the feeder in action. Apparently it works very well. For a high volume loader the case feeder makes a lot of sense. I shoot a lot but I am not sure I could justify buying one. Unless you buy the adapters for all the cartridges you load, and I load a few, I think it could become more of a hindrance than a help.

For the high volume loader though it certainly is an option worth getting.

Bob,

Thanks for the input, I had no idea you could use one and then buy differant parts, the dealer I saw it at did not tell me that, but at what $300-$35, that added to the price of a 550, one could buy a 650? You know what, "I think I'll stick to my Diet Pepsi!" My 550 is more then good enough the way it is, and if everything is ready and no one bugs me, I can reload 1000 rounds of 9mm, well my best time is just over an hour. Like I said, more then good enough for me.
