.56-50 Spencer

Hey guys,

So I picked up an antique 1865 Spencer carbine that I plan to buy a centrefire breech block for shoot. I have 50 pieces of brass on the way, but can’t seem to find any cast bullets for sale here in Canada.

Does anyone know where to pick some up?

Did you try Jet Cast Bullets in AB ?

I use Jet for my 50-70 Sharps and found their bullets to be very nice, I just don’t see a compatible 56-50 projectile listed on their site.


I’ll give them a call tomorrow though.

go on the cascity website, the is a forum there for Spencers, you might find some info there

If you have a mold Jet will make bullets for you.

So it looks like Jet doesn’t currently cast for that size. Is there any other option aside from buying a mold? Anyone up here shooting a 56-50?

If someone currently casts their own in the .515 and 350gr range I’d be happy to buy some
