Hello I was given 20 570grain cast bullets today for my 45-70 for free and was wondering where I could find load data for this bullet? They are gas checked and my rifle is an NEF handi rifle. Thank you.

This is bullet weight that is quite out of the norm for the .45-70, unless you are shooting long range blackpowder competitions, or perhaps blackpowder silhouette.
I suspect that the throat of this handi-rifle might be short as well.
Perhaps a load of blackpowder, that allows for the bullet to be seated to match the throat, with about an eighth inch of compression of the powder once seated? That could range from 55-65 grain of BP. It might not be worth your while trying to do a load for 20 bullets that are that odd ball for your rifle.

I seated one to the cannelure and I couldn't close the action so I'll be passing these on to somebody I suppose. I'll be ordering some 485gr from M.T. Chambers soon anyhow. Thanks.

There's lube in all the grooves except the top one, this is where I was told to crimp my 30-30 cast bullets I just assumed it would be the same due to the lack of lube in the top groove.
