577/450 MH loads?

I just bought a Martini Henry and need some knowledge on care and feeding. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks . Pat.

80 grains of Fg Black Powder and a 50 grain cast RN bullet and CCI LR primers should treat you well (found it on Google though so YMMV)

You shouldn't get into trouble with BP loads but smokeless in that huge case might not be much fun.

don't think you could even cover the mouth of the case with 50grns of lead

perhaps 500grns would work, but I have yet to get my 577/450 cases
