590a1 front sling mount options.

So I've flooded the shotgun forum with parts questions and pictures of my 590a1.

What I'm wondering is, what are people using for a front sling mount? I want to use my vickers sling and it's attached to the butt of the magpul furniture fine. I need something for the front though.

I think if prefer a barrel clamp mount so that the sling doesn't bind and matches the side mount of the magpul stuff.

I see mesa makes mossy 930 solutions and870 solutions.

Has anyone tried either on a mossberg 590a1 special purpose ?

I looked at that but the one thing I don't like is that it supports off the mag tube end cap and myag tube is the full length of my barrel leaving the sling close to the muzzle.

I'm hoping for clamp style so I can move the sling back a couple inches

Go with the magpul barrel clamp , set it back a little just like you said, I've got one set up like that, it works , you can go with ether a hook or a QD sling point for it , the hook might be a little more flexable as the QD sling point is rigid and doesn't turn .

Magpul para clip I use for one 590 with a Vickers padded sling , also use it on one of my ARs forward sling point.

MASH hooks are a lot better than HK hooks, I'd look at getting one of those. One Shot Tactical has them, but are sold out right now.

So I ended up finding magpul forward sling mounts, which work awesome. I removed the clip mount and used a mesa sling quick disconnect instead. It's pretty much perfect.
