Hi, all! Just a quick note to let you people know the 590a1 marinecote #51274, has serious coating issues.

I received mine on monday and immediately shipped it back.
Then I had to chase them on the phone and emails to keep track of my order.
I just got a complete refund (minus what i paid to ship the shotgun back).

The lady on the phone told me the remaining 590a1 marinecote in stock are all the same. So they can't simply replace it.

My advice to you: Don't order one!

I'm very disappointed with the delays and the fact that i had to chase them. It was my third buy from Tenda....but probably the last. Too bad, cause they always have great deals! (not this time)

I wish I could show a picture.....
It looks like someone had used a welding machine near the receiver. Or like it had been "short-circuited"(not even sure that's a word!) or hit with a hot electric wire.
This happened during the process of electro-coating at the Mossberg factory...and I don't understand how come it has passed quality inspection!

I got a marine coated? 10/22 last year from wholesale, The Finnish was ####ing garbage. I took it out like 4 times and it was scuffed up and had a few flake areas. I then got another marine coated shotgun from a dealer on here for dirt cheap and the Finnish was wonky. Kinda like someone handled it when the finish was drying! Some areas seemed less coated then others and looked like there was black over spray.

I would like to see pictures of others marine coated firearms and see if its a common issue!

that' s bad

In defense of tenda themselves, they did just sell A TON (or 2) of ammo with their huge sale so I imagine they're a little busy T the moment.

We are better off doing our own coating systems. The factory low-end stuff sucks, like on the Remington SPS line. Haven't seen the coating the OP is speaking of, but I am sure it is similar.

What a feeling when you buy a toy and something is wrong with it . It happened 3 times with me when brand new guns had to be sent for warranty
right away . Most of stores has final sales on firearms so no matter what you go to warranty if anything wrong with a gun. I bought Ruger 10/22
Takedown from Tenda (in store) inspected the gun all was good, at home I realized it is not ejecting the shell , and tomorrow I was going to the range with my son to shoot it .Now in any other situation I had to cancel our trip and send 10/22 for warranty. With Tenda it was easy , they just exchanged it to brand new one that work perfectly. I don't think it is Tenda's fault if manufacturers quality control sucks this days.
Regardless feel your pain brother. Start looking for another toy!

Yup totally agree, if you really like the gun with budget finish for some reason, get it cerakoted and be done with it.
