590A1 shooting montage

I had a 590A1 20" for a while. I'm a big guy with decent upper body strength but when that thing was fully loaded, sweet jeebus was it heavy! Other than that it was great. I sold it to finance my first semi-auto scattergun and dont think I could go back to a pump. As t long as you stay away from their awful abortions like the Roadblocker, Mossberg make good shotguns at great prices.

awesome gun

super heavy... I had to get a stock kit to reduce the LOP to something I could use, even tall guys need it, its like a 16" LOP or something ridiculous like that out of box
great work out gun, I practice with it, and do reload drills with snap caps, GREAT for the fore arms,
IM pretty sure it could out club a bat (ie smash this and a bat together untill they break and this would win)

Yeah I got the 18.5" 590a1 and am glad I did. I find it a tad heavy fully loaded and I am a pretty big and tall man myself, I can inky imagine how heavy the 20" would be full of slugs.

Where did you pick up your stock kit and what did you go with? I'm looking to change my stock as the LOP is annoyingly long by a couple of inches. I'm over 6' tall, who is their target market? NBA players?

brownels has a website, some good stocks for under 100$...
and yeah, Im average hight but I have long monkey arms, and LOP was a big issue since mines the 20" heavy barrel, loaded up that much weight puts out some torque,
I got the STI stock, nice gel grip and gel stock, and reduced the LOP to something well within my comfort zone
 
I am a bit over 6' and the stock length of pull of my 20" 590A1 heavy barrel fits me OK.
Yes, it is nose heavy but being just 20" is not that bad compared to a 28-30" double shotgun...

Thanks for the tip, I am looking for either something collapsable with a pistol grip or a shorter traditional stock, haven't decided. I've heard that pistol grips make the safety awkward but they look superb, especially after watching so much Walking Dead.
