Put what ever stock you want on it and practice with it. Yes you'll have to take one hand of the gun to work the safety, but how ofter are you going to do that and how important is that to you? The slide release can be pushed up with the thumb without much effort.

I have a Knoxx on my 590 and everything works very well. Mesa would also be a good choice.

For a flashlight I went with a Fenix TA30, it has 3 brightnes settings and strobe.

I have the cavalry arms SST-590 stock adapter. It comes with a new safety so you can use your finger or thumb without taking your hand off the pistol grip.

I would agree...put what ever you want on it if it is just for the hell of it....fill your boots.

What some are getting at here is the tang safety on a mossberg cannot be utilized when a pistol grip butt is employed without removing your strong hand from the gun. This is important during somes types of training/operations.

Luckly we use 870 police magnums at work (perfer 590A1) but I am left handed so I am totally F@#ked anyway.
