I have an opputunity to purchase one of these and was wondering what everyone out thinks about them good, bad or otherwise.
Best regards to all!!

Can't comment on the magnum version, but .22lr is probably the best rimfire out there IMO given the price tag. I hear bad things about the .17 HMR version though. Something not right with the timing, posibility of out of battery fire. The .22 mag is king anyway. Hornady has a neat load coming out, looks great on paper so far.

22 Mag

I have put about 2500 rounds through mine with out a jam and I love it and so far 5 of the guys that I hunt with have bought them also. The only problems that the 22 mags have is the mag springs being weak or the followers sticking in the mag itself. If the price is fair you can't go to wrong with that rifle. Good Luck.

+1 on the .22 WMR version. Never had a jaming problem that wasn't mag related.
It even eats the hated Winchester Dynapoints w/o fail.

Bought 6 new gen III mags (Cheap at Lebaron's) and never looked back. More accurate and the base model is much nicer than a 10/22 IMHO. You can however pimp out the 10/22 way more.

I'm actually thinking of ditching my old lever action in .22 WMR because I like the 597 version so much....
