597 bolt

i have been trying to get a 597 bolt and just found out on remington site that in US it is a restricted part just like barrel and receiver.
this is strange...can anyone explain?
and can anyone point me to a place where i can buy a bolt for this rifle?
 
Two choices.

Do the import certificate paperwork, and buy the part from a licensed exporter. Or track down the Canadian warranty center, and buy the part through them.

Remington may sell with the paperwork. Brownell's probably stocks the part, and will ship it with the paperwork. Paper adds an extra week or so to the process if you go that way.

warranty will not work cause there is nothing wrong with the old one...its simply missing out of the rifle i bought.
I didnt know brownells, and western had these kind of parts...but cook i will inquire. Thank you
 
If your on the west coast Shayne from Reliable Gun is there main warrenty repair store & they should be able to order it in for ya.
